As at May 2024, this stopover is still free. They completed the staircase up a smaller pyramid and halfway up the larger. There is a shop that sells drinks and snacks already operational. A few local food stall stand is being build. Riding on G217 heading north out of Kuqa, u will not miss this site. There is a toilet and appears possible to camp here over night (as at May 2024) for now.
