After the pedestrian border crossing to Plöss was opened on August 1, 1991, the cemetery was renovated. During the work in the village area, a statue of St. John of Nepomuk was found. It was restored and placed on the way to the cemetery. The original baroque statue stood in Ples until 2004. Unfortunately, the "John" was removed and an amateur copy was placed in place of the original in 2006.
There is an information column nearby, near the Marienkapelle. Turn the crank and choose a topic and then you can listen in a relaxed manner, in German and Czech.
