To the west of the castle stood the palace. Its significantly thicker walls are clearly visible from the valley. In contrast to the castle, the palace makes a solid and fortified impression, befitting its time. It is unadorned and shines with the spartan splendor of medieval architecture. Its interior still bears beam holes, indicating the former distribution of floors. The palace and castle were connected by the courtyard, which contained a well. It was surrounded by a defensive wall with 15-meter-high static arches for reinforcement. The kitchen was located in part of the courtyard.
