Also called Castelluzzo di Spanò, it was a fortified monastery built in the 13th century. The panorama that includes the abbey, Etna and the Troina countryside all around is spectacular.
Unfortunately, as often happens among ruins or abandoned places in the Sicilian countryside, the church has become a real stable and the entire area has been incorporated into a livestock farm.
