Indian peacocks are an undoubted attraction of the arboretum in Bolestraszyce. They can be reached by a gently rising road connecting the lower terrace with the upper terrace, on the left side of the garden (looking from the entrance).
The male peacock, although beautiful, lacks vocal talent, but unfortunately he does not know about this shortcoming.
We waited for a long time near the cage for something to happen. Finally, the peacock demonstrated its voice and it was a traumatic experience. If you were to compare its acoustic qualities with anything, maybe it would be with a trumpet used by fans on ski jumps or by street demonstrators.
After making a few short and terrifying noises, the male started showing off his tail, shaking it periodically, and we waited for it. The female peacock, however, did not seem interested in this display.
