The Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie di Pietracupa is an important sanctuary. It was consecrated in 1596 and completed in 1609.
Architecturally, it is Mannerist and shows influences from Giorgio Vasari and Bernardo Buontalenti. It is considered one of the most balanced examples of minor religious architecture in the Tuscan countryside.
The church is dedicated to the Madonna of Pietracupa, whose image was painted by Paolo Schiavo in the 15th century. This image is said to have granted many graces to the faithful and was therefore a destination for numerous pilgrims.
