The building was built in 1867–68, and the tower in 1737 (large date on the plaster, renovated several times before 1945). It was built on the basis of an earlier stone church that was devastated during the Seven Years' War.
The church consists of two parts that differ significantly in form: a stone and brick nave built in a cruciform shape and a Baroque tower, which is plastered. The interior has modest furnishings.
The church was formerly surrounded by a cemetery, from which no tombstones remained (some were thrown into post-mine pits located nearby). In front of the church fence there are the remains of a monument to the villagers who died in World War I, which were adapted to serve as a chapel.
