In 1752 Kühnham belonged to the Obmannschaft Zell and the Office Karpfham of the district court Griesbach. At that time, the far away Reichenbach Abbey was well-stocked. [1]
In 1811, the controlling district of Kühnham was formed from the founding teams of Zell and Osterholzen and the village of Gerau, which belongs to the Obmannschaft Berg. The resulting 1818 congregation was congruent with the tax district and included 14 districts. On April 12, 1838, the community Kühnham came to the newly formed regional court Rotthalmünster.
