The landmark: The small church of Agios Nikolaos built on the rocks, on the side of Laimos overlooking the bay of Vouliagmeni.
What it shouts to you: That in this place there are hidden little treasures just like this little church. Which no one would know if there was not next to it an excellent place for swimming in the cool waters of Vouliagmeni, far from the crowds that overwhelm the beach in summer. It tells you that with a view of the sea the South can create small masterpieces.
Why we will inherit it to our children: Because the story says that this little church was built by a fisherman, who went every morning in his boat with the materials, so that after years this work of art could be built. Because it is a well-kept secret for the local residents. And because no matter how beautiful the rest of the temples that have been built in our area are, none are so close to the sea, you don't go to anyone just to forget (or pray) like you go to Agios Nikolaos.
