The Amthof carillon is a citizen project of the "St. Peter and Paul Tower Clock Interest Group" in the Historical Camberg Association. The design of the installation was created by Pia Benk, and the carillon mechanism was created by the Royal Bell Foundry Petit & Fritsen B.V. from the Netherlands.
The chimes can be heard five times a day after the neighboring clock strikes on the Obertorturm at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. with melodies that vary with the seasons.
