The rectory building was built in the 19th century on the site of a former castle. It is a Gothic-style building made of red brick. It is worth paying attention to the sun crosses located in the wall of the building. It has served as a rectory since 1993. Previously, there was a German school, hospital and health center there.
In the past, vassals of Pomeranian princes built a castle in this place in the first half of the 14th century. Originally it was a residential building and a tower surrounded by a wall, but after the destruction during the Great Northern War it was demolished. Today, only remnants of the walls remain.
