About 15 of the original 51 towers and shells are still preserved, and 1.8 km of the 2.2 km total length are still preserved.
The most impressive complex of the city fortifications is located on the Burgplatz – a large round bowl.
On the east side is a horseshoe-shaped bowl, open towards the city, with three lines of fire.
The whole is surrounded by a cup-like fountain bowl.
