It is the most important Copper Age site of the European Neolithic period. It is dated to 2700 BC. Dated. The settlement is located on a hill and is surrounded by 4 concentric ramparts. During its heyday, up to 1,000 people lived in the 4 meter high and 310 meter wide fortress. Their necropolis has 100 burial mounds.
It is the oldest site in all of Spain!!! The visit is free and definitely worth it. Opening hours only from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Since you have to plan a good 2 hours for a leisurely tour, you should visit the facility in good time.
