San Luis Mesa ACEC is a tract of land in the desert with sand and compact dirt roads that are not frequently used by cars. ACEC stands for Areas of Critical Environmental Concern, so it is important to stay on the path. Here, this wild road will lead runners around the back side of Bosque Grande Mesa and through an exposed but beautiful desert.
