Looking south/anti-clockwise/up the ascent here, the trail signage is tatty and up a tree, pointing to a gate with another sign. It isn't clear but the trail follows up where the telephone pole is (though I didn't follow this). The trail isn't where my bike is in this photo, its to the right. The ascent isn't moderate as described in AllTrails, it's a tough bike hike mostly above 30% gradient at one point 49%. It isn't dangerous, just steep with some loose gravel and rocks in places. Take small steps and save your Achilles.
