Tub Springs Wayside served as a rest stop for pioneers traveling on the Applegate Trail in 1846 before descending the mountain pass into Ashland. It's a wonderful location where you can take a break amidst the towering fir trees and breathe in the crisp mountain air.
The name "Tub Springs" originated from the tubs that were installed in the 1930s to supply spring water to travelers. The tubs have been restored and are still in use today.
