The sculptural element, called “O Vigilante,” was acquired by the Câmara de Braga from Galeria Mário Sequeira in 1997 and placed at the intersection of Rua do Castelo and Rua de Souto.

The sculpture, conceived by sculptor Alberto Vieira, represents a male figure made of stainless steel, equipped with wings with hands together on his lap, sitting on a high iron structure that serves as a support for the sculpture and consists of a base with four legs.
