Fitch Memorial Church, also known as Hongde Church or Hongde Temple, was completed in 1928 and is the only Christian church in Shanghai with traditional Chinese architectural elements. The church was named after Rev. George Fitch, a renowned missionary. The building was designed by Chinese architect Yang Xiliu.
