Near intersection Wilhelmsdorferstraße / Verler Straße (near Eckardtsheim), near the small supermarket, there is a small Padweg. He leads to a wooden bridge.

Eckardtsheim is a district in the district of Sennestadt the independent city of Bielefeld in North Rhine-Westphalia and adjacent to Schloss Holte-Stukenbrock and Verl. In the district there are departments of Von Bodelschwinghsche foundations Bethel

In 2007 Eckardtsheim became 125 years old. The motto of the anniversary year was "125 years of Eckardtsheim - moving together".

An unusual, loosely built place with many old half-timbered houses and many trees, mostly oaks. Most old houses were built as buildings for the Bodelschwinghschen Anstalten Bethel or their predecessors. The Bullerbach meanders through the middle of the village and changes its name to Dalkebach.
