The Nuremberg State Theater is one of the largest multi-genre theaters in Germany.
On January 1, 2005, it emerged from the former Nuremberg Municipal Theater as the fourth state theater in the Free State of Bavaria.
Under the direction of state director Jens-Daniel Herzog, 550 permanent employees in the fields of opera, drama, ballet and concerts currently enable more than 650 performances per season for over 270,000 visitors.
The most striking building is the Nuremberg Opera House, which can be seen from afar in the city skyline.
