15th century palace located in the highest part of the current town, on a large rock, and was an old Muslim fortification, the Old Castle, which was located on the west slope of the Serrezuela de Bedmar. The town of Bedmar is located to the west of the Serrezuela de Bedmar or Cuevas del Aire, in the northeastern part of Sierra Mágina. The castle controlled the important route of the Jandulilla river.
Bedmar is located at the western end of the small mountain range that bears its name and to the east of what is called the Sierra Mágina. A nucleus located in a hollow surrounded by mountains and guarded by what used to be a castle that acted as a lookout in these lands in the north of Jaén.
