This palace-house dates back to the 18th century. It is characterized by its façade, the tower raised on a public road and the patio, which is closed with a half-orange presenting stands on the side walls. On March 21, 1796, on their way to Seville, the majesties of Don Carlos IV and his august consort Doña María Luisa spent the night here. Its owner in 1796 was José Mateo de Pando y Galiano, married to Francisca Gallego, who occupied all the public officials of the municipality and also had contacts in the Court of Madrid, which is why the kings stayed in his house. Over the years, the palace belonged to the heirs of the Countess of la Cañada who in 1933 sold it to the National Service of Wheat being used as a grain warehouse. The City Council acquired it in 1979 and it still went through a period of abandonment until it was finally restored, with part of its site being used as a Health Center and the rest as a House of Culture, Library and Music School .
