Crystal Creek is a lovely spot half way up the range to Paluma Village. The crystal clear waters and pristine waterfalls of this freshwater creek are ideal for a refreshing swim. The mountain water cascades under a picturesque heritage-listed stone arch bridge built in the 1930s depression. Just above the bridge are some very spectacular waterfalls. It's a popular place among Townsville locals to escape the summer heat by having a quick dip in refreshingly cool water, in particular on weekends.
