The A5 trail starts at the large Rödlach parking lot in Moos (with accessible restrooms) and is one of the most popular trails for beginners. It runs through sunny, open fields to the hamlets of Ostbach and Platzl, then gently climbs back to the starting point. The trail is wide and invites you to enjoy leisurely laps through the wintry landscape.
Thanks to its flat surface, the A5 trail is also suitable for wheelchair users who enjoy sledding. However, about halfway along the trail, a small road must be crossed, which is only passable with skis/sleds when there is sufficient snow.
The A5 trail is undergoing official certification for accessibility this season. However, individual suitability should always be assessed on a personal basis.
The connecting trail, the A6, offers an additional variation. It is generally suitable for sledding, but requires a bit more experience. Right at the beginning, a steep underpass with a counter-slope must be mastered.
