A beautifully preserved park with many kilometers of opportunities. A golf course is integrated into the park, and you'll occasionally cross the fairways. The castle is privately owned and therefore not accessible. The golf club has a café and a large parking lot.

Westerwinkel Castle Park is an idyllic place that surrounds the Baroque Westerwinkel Castle, one of the earliest Baroque castles in Westphalia. The park, which is designed in the style of an English landscape garden, offers an impressive combination of historical and natural elements. Here you will find magnificent tree-lined avenues of chestnuts and oaks that invite you to take leisurely strolls, as well as a variety of herbs and medicinal plants such as dandelions, chickweed and ground ivy, which are largely left to nature to flourish

The park also houses a two-story pavilion dating from 1718 and an orangery dating from the 1860s, both of which underline the historic charm of the property . The park is particularly worth seeing in spring when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. In autumn the colorful leaves of the many trees offer a beautiful sight, and in winter frost and snow transform the landscape into an enchanting winter wonderland.
