Maria am Wasser is an Evangelical Lutheran church in the Dresden district of Hosterwitz. With its exterior, which is reminiscent of southern German Baroque sacred buildings, it is completely untypical for the Dresden region. At 1,500 square meters, the churchyard is one of the smallest cemeteries in the city. The Maria am Wasser church and the churchyard are listed buildings and were a UNESCO World Heritage Site from 2004 to 2009 as part of the Dresden Elbe Valley Cultural Landscape.
