Coming from Montagnaga to join the SP that goes up from Pergine to Piné, in the direction of Piné, it would seem like you are proceeding downhill towards the stop sign (photos 2 and 3). And quite clearly. WRONG.
At that point the road goes up! Try it with the bike. Or pouring water from the bottle onto the ground. Naturally, in the opposite direction, deviating to the right from the SP mentioned towards the center of Montagnaga (first photo), it would seem like it was going up but instead it goes down.

The illusion is optical and is due to the presence of steeply rising (or falling) sections before and after the section in question, which give the eye misleading references (Wikipedia). But if you stood on the side of the road to sell sandwiches and beers at that point (and tennis balls) you would do good business and you might meet crowds of idiots ready to believe anything. Well... maybe it's an idea.
