The Aichkreuz is located about a quarter of an hour from the forest settlement on the way to Kleinfeld next to a hunting lodge. It is a heavy wooden cross protected by a semicircular tin roof. The other name Köhlerkreuz points to a nearby coal mine. The Aichkreuz reminds two French soldiers who were allegedly murdered by the St. Veitern around 1805. After they buried their bodies first at the Glöckerlkreuz, they allegedly found their last resting place at the Aichkreuz, which was deeper in the forest.
