When you enter the church, the chancel immediately catches your eye, which is highlighted by the colored windows. The crucifix on the altar was designed by the Kassel artist Hermann Pohl and differs from the traditional depictions of the crucified Christ. The focus is not on the suffering, but on the victorious Son of God.
The church has been redesigned several times in its more than 100-year history. The last major renovation took place in 2000.
