How about a long ride on a wonderfully prepared cross-country ski trail, starting from the town of Wirl? As an option on this tour there is also the possibility of adding a few kilometers and meters of altitude and climbing up to Bielerhöhe.
The basic tour “R1a Vermunt 1: Baggerloch” takes you to an altitude of 1,768 meters with a view of a wonderful mountain panorama. The quiet side valley is an ideal place to clear your head while doing some exercise. And if you really want to work yourself out, you can tackle the climb to Bielerhöhe. With a view of the Silvretta reservoir, you pass the border from Tyrol to Vorarlberg on your way. Once you have arrived at the highest point of the entire cross-country ski trail network, you can look out into the snow-covered mountains and look forward to a relaxed descent.
The starting point of your tour is just a short bus ride from the train station in Landeck-Zams. Bus 260 takes you to the Galtür Wirl/Birkhahnbahn stop.
