The west ramp of the Timmelsjoch is the less spectacular ascent. Extended and with a fairly balanced gradient, the climb does not pose any particular difficulty - if one ignores the respectable difference in altitude. A small intermediate gradient after the toll station provides bonus altitude. If you have the choice, rather than enjoy the descent - fun to drive thanks to the wide and well maintained road.
