The present appearance of the church dates back to the 17th century. The church is dedicated to St. John the Baptist. Inside the church you can admire valuable wood carvings by Giacomo Lucchini, beautiful altarpieces and great paintings by Francesco Barbieri.

Saint John the Baptist (San Giovanni Battista), to whom this church was dedicated, is - like Saint Joseph - a man on the threshold of the Old and New Testaments.
