This trail runs along the border between England and Scotland. The ground is peaty and soft, but there are packhorse stones leading up to Windy Gyle, which makes the going pretty good.

Windy Gyle itself, on a good day, offers staggering views all the way over to Cumbria, and so is not to be missed!

This border ridge trail as it states runs on the England/Scotland border, slabs placed on most areas so no more bog trotting which used to be the case, great views on a clear day but be prepared as the weather can close in very quickly so carry the correct items

A really fun trail up to Windy Gyle along the England-Scotland border. The slabs make it a little technical in places and there is a bit of a punch at the end of the climb but the views more than make up for it and it's lots of fun
