Welcome to the fat mill (formerly Schrobelsmühle), a former supersaturated watermill on Mörsdorferbach.
A place of silence and contemplation.
Documented before 1482, document of Trier Elector John II of Baden.
In the past centuries, the mill had often changed hands.
In 1959, the mill was discontinued.
The building was initially used as a residential building, later as a weekend and holiday home.
Since 2014, the estate has been owned by Janet and Paul from the Netherlands, the land of windmills.
The extremely likeable owner couple has set itself the goal to keep a small window in the earlier everyday life of the people in the Hunsrück open and to bring new life in the partly dilapidated buildings.
I sincerely wish you all the best for this active preservation of monuments.
It would be fantastic if you could say again: "The mill rattles on the rushing brook".
Here you can relax with coffee, tea, soda or pils the soul. We look forward to your visit Paul and Janet.
Open on Saturday and Sunday from 11am.

A very nice, old mill. Very photogenic. =) The way to the mill is beautifully quiet and leads along a stream.
