Signposted as a bike trail which is great for gravel enthusiasts. The winding, graveled, off-road road conveys an authentic experience of traveling in the olden days. It is bordered by a series of remains and places that contribute to the experience of a road with long historical continuity. The road passes through a varied landscape of open agricultural landscape with well-preserved villages that form a contrast to the fragmented woodland glades with crofts.
Original stretch of road, continuously used from at least the Late Iron Age to 1941. Exhibits a number of road historical components such as prehistoric burial grounds, potholed roads, runestones in solid outcrop, a former inn and market place at Önnersta. The road includes road engineering form elements, e.g. road banks, stone arch bridges and milestones. Connects villages. Together, potholes and Eriksgata show the journey of several generations.
