The Cathedral of Curtea de Argeș (Romanian Mănăstirea Curtea de Argeș "Convent of Curtea de Argeș" or Catedrala Curtea de Argeș) is the cathedral of the Romanian Orthodox Church in the Romanian city of Curtea de Argeș. It is dedicated to the Dormition of the Mother of God (Assumption of Mary) and is the seat of the Archdiocese of Arges and Muscel.[1] The exterior of the church is in Neo-Byzantine style with Moorish arabesques. The construction of the monastery began in the early 16th century and ended in the 19th century. The construction of the cathedral church Adormirea Maicii Domnului took place from 1512 to 1517. The site is listed in the Romanian List of Historical Monuments under the "Cod LMI AG-II-a-A-13628".[2]
