I was so often in Meersburg in October and have always discovered something new 👍in the upper part of the city was on the weekend a large ancient market just beautiful to look at the waterfront promenade innumerable visitors and enjoy the views of Lake Constance and the lively 👍

The lower town between the lake and the upper town with the old castle was fortified in the west by the Vordere Seetor (Lower Town Gate or Bullet Gate) and in the east by the Rear Seetor, which was demolished in 1852 due to the construction of the port. In the lower town, the outer wall of today's Hotel Schiff (former cathedral chapter courtyard) has been preserved from the western city wall and the outer wall of the Gredhaus from the eastern city wall.

Getting off the bike and pushing it is absolutely recommended. It can be very crowded and you wouldn't have time to take a look at the beautiful houses with their bars and shops.
