The Faldo lakes are a well-known and popular tourist destination in the immediate vicinity of the city of Montone (one of the best preserved medieval villages in Italy, Orange Flag) and Umbertide. These are artificial lakes with a total area of 60,000 square meters and a maximum depth of 6 meters.
