It was built between 1807 and 1810 by the charity of benefactors including Karađorđe Petrović, the leader of the First Serbian Rising. It follows baroque style with elements of classicism. The monumental one-nave building boasts two belfries. Internal decorations took centuries: The iconostasis was painted by Konstantin Danil in the XIX century.
