Depending on where you are coming from, the actual ascent begins at a small kiosk. Here you can take a short rest before you start. The climb that follows is long and strenuous. There are inclines of 15% to be overcome. The road surface is solid gravel but is easy to drive on. When the weather is good, it's always worth looking around. One is rewarded with fantastic views of the valley and mountains to the south. There is a bench at the last bend. From here it is easy to continue and you are almost at the top.
