With an area of 763 hectares, the Fischbeker Heide is one of the largest nature reserves in Hamburg.
Numerous hiking and biking/MTB trails lead through this beautiful landscape.
In contrast to the Lüneburg Heath, this area is not so heavily frequented. This may also be due to the fact that there are numerous steep hiking trails here that cannot be used with carriages, but have to be conquered with your own muscle power.

Around the Fischbektal, the mountain ranges offer many opportunities for great views of the valley. However, this is exactly where you stand – albeit at an elevated position – in the middle of the forest. Even in winter no significant views. Just cranking it up just FOR THIS isn't worth it. But there are also many great trails in Wulmstorfer Heide & along the glider airfield...
