The terraced houses are under ensemble protection, as are the reed-green facade and the yellow-red windows. Because of the eye-catching color design, the settlement is also called "Parrot Settlement".
The Zehlendorf forest settlement is another settlement designed by the architect Bruno Taut. He planned the settlement together with the architects Hugo Häring and Otto Rudolf Salvisberg. The houses around the underground station Onkel Toms Hütte were built between 1926 and 1932 in the Bauhaus style.
