The Sztutowo stop is the last one in the eastern direction on the Żuławska Kolej Dojazdowa line. The train has to turn around here somehow, and it does so in an unusual way. There is no loop here - as is usually the case at the end of a tram line, nor is there a parallel second track on which the locomotive could pass from the front to the rear of the train.
When viewed from above, the station looks like a snake with its mouth wide open. The train drives as if into the upper jaw, then reverses backwards in an arc to the end of the lower jaw, thanks to which the locomotive is at the starting point for driving towards Stegna.

Even before the construction of the Vistula Spit Crossing, I asked the train manager if it was possible to rebuild the tracks of the railway to Krynica Morska, as it was at the end of World War II. He replied that it would cost PLN 33 million and no one could afford it.

One and a half kilometers from the Sztutowo Muzeum stop, the train reaches the station
in Sztutowo, which is built on a triangular plan. One of the arms
(ending at the primary school in Sztutowo) at the end of the war
marked the direction of the makeshift war line towards Krynica
Morska and further to the end of the Vistula Spit. Traces of this line today
are legible in the field only in the dense forest growing on the Mierzeja, w
