    Witzhelden's town center is really worth a visit! Around the big, fat church you can sit in the middle of what is happening in the village, take a break, eat ice cream, cake or pizza... Almost like in Bella Italia 😉

        Cafe Strieker, right next to the church, coffee, cake and delicious ice cream until the end of September. There is a nesting box at the top of the church tower.
        Sometimes you can also see 1-2 kestrels.

                          Taking a break on the church square in Witzhelden is a highlight in the Bergisches Land. If you stay there in early summer, you can watch nesting hawks on the church tower. When we were there the falcons had already given birth. We could be present at the feeding and watch.
