The beauty spring is the saltiest and deepest spring in Druskininkai, with skin-cleansing and rejuvenating properties. The spring flowing from a stone bas-relief near the Nemunas is more than 300 meters deep. The spring water is extremely salty and it is not advisable to drink it. You can wash your face, hands and throat with water. It is believed to rejuvenate the skin, give it beauty and freshness. Legend has it that in ancient times, a prince happened to be in this place while hunting with his courtiers. The hunt was successful, so the duke had to shoot the falcon. The falcon, pierced by the archer's arrow, fell into the Nemunas, and the prince rushed into the water to retrieve it. The princess wept bitterly on the shore and ran along the banks of the river, shedding salty tears and calling for her husband. After some time, the prince emerged from the water with a falcon in his hands - healthy and alive. According to legend, in the places where the princess's tears fell, salty springs sprang up from the ground.
