The Bannwald potato field is located in the middle of the "Schwetzinger Hardt", a large contiguous forest area between Walldorf and Schwetzingen. "Hardt" is an ancient Germanic word for woodland pasture. In the Schwetzinger Hardt is the input of pigs and livestock since 1412 certified.
