This climb is just perfect - why?
# The rise is very unrhythmic, there are two short crisp pieces with 15%, but also a flat piece - I like that!
# The path leads on a traffic-poor road through scattered meadows connected with great views of the Wieslauf valley and Schorndorf
# At the turnoff to the outdoor pool, there is a spring that provides good drinking water - so refuel again
# Perfect surface - best suited for racing bikes. I prefer to drive uphill rather than downhill as it gets a bit confusing at higher speeds in the bends
# From noon the climb is in the sun

What a great climb. On this small, traffic-free road you screw your way through orchards up to Obersteinenberg and on to Breitenfürst. The two hairpin bends at the beginning are really steep. But then you roll on relaxed with wonderful views of the Wieslauftal. Before the ascent, there is a spring at the branch to the outdoor pool, where you can fill up your bottles.

Alternative way towards Welzheim or Breitenfürst. Good surface. Almost no traffic, but crisp climb to Obersteinenberg.
