The evangelical church "St. Eustace" was built from 1887 to 1889 in place of a previous church from the 14th century, which was completely demolished for this purpose. The previous church had to be demolished due to the structural condition and its insufficient size, which no longer met the needs of the community. The new church was built in the Gothic style according to the specifications of the so-called "Eisenach regulations". The plans for this were drawn up by the Berlin architect F. Adler, who later also designed the Castle Church in Wittenberg.
