If you are in the area on your EuroVelo6 tour or otherwise please don't miss this place. Roman castle ruins on the top of the cliff above the Danube, ancient Salt water well, Winery, over 500 years old Orthodox church Sveti Otac Nikolaj, the best fish chowder ( Riblja Corba) in Charda Mika Alas (local fisherman's club on the banks of Danube) are just some highlights of the place.
If you are tired after all sightseeing or too stuffed from the chowder you can find cheap overnight accommodation (10Euro) in marina. To get there you have to ride lovely switchback (12% elevation) down and back up on your return to the route. Trust me, it's worth the effort. Happy rides.
