The climb at times resembles more of a balancing act than a stylish bike ride, with the blazing midday sun adding to the heat.

The torture is worth it and is rewarded with a beautiful view back down into the valley. You're sure to get some incredulous looks from the locals.

The surface is a bit too rough on the downhill, and you spend more time braking than enjoying the ride.
